Teaching Staff Trust provide financial support when something’s happened that you couldn’t have expected. If this is you and you’ve worked within the education sector for at least five years, they may well be able to help.

The NEU hardship fund is available for existing NEU members and provides grants to those members with no salary as a result of school closures.

The NEU Trust Fund Ltd is a charitable fund formed to give confidential support and financial assistance. It is there to assist existing and former NEU members in times of illness or hardship.

The National Association of Schoolmasters Union of Women Teachers (NASUWT) Benevolent Fund
Grants are available for NASUWT members, former members, and their dependents. Grants are also available for the dependents of deceased members. NASUWT can provide financial support for convalescence, essential living costs, cooker, council tax arrears, and educational purposes.

If you are struggling to pay for essential costs, you might be able to apply for a charitable grant.
A grant can be given as money, items or services that you do not have to pay back.
You will need to meet certain conditions to get a grant. For example, a disability charity would only help people with a disability.
